Nipple/Areola Tattoo
Areola creation can help mastectomy patients by creating a new, skillfully drawn nipple and areola on the reconstructed breast to appear as natural as possible. Using the right colour combinations and shading techniques nipples can be made to look 3D and therefore create very aesthetically pleasing and natural results. Areola tattoo is also great for people who have irregular shaped or different sized areola. This can simply be down to nature or from surgical scars. Others may just want the areola enhanced for cosmetic reasons.
Scar Treatment/Camouflage
Using similar needles to a tattoo treatment, a "dry needling' technique is employed to stimulate collagen and rejuvenation and therefore improve the appearance of scars. A course is necessary for best results. Scar treatment/camouflage is designed to use pigments that correspond to the surrounding skin colour in order to mask the appearance of scars. Some people only require a couple of treatments while others need a more gradual process over several sessions to create the desired look. These are great treatments for surgical scars, incidental scars, stretch marks and tattoo removal scars. Burns scars can also be camouflaged using this technique. As this is such a varied and diverse area, a treatment plan is tailor made to suit each client's needs.
Hair Loss Camouflage
Scars from injury, hair transplant surgery or natural balding can be masked with this treatment. A series of micro dots of pigment create a shadow of colour that resembles hair growth. It is also a very effective treatment for women who have suffered hair loss or thinning hair on the crown or around the hair line. This technique can be used in areas where we would ordinarily have hair growth!
Cleft Lip Repair and Restoration
Using a combination of scar camouflage and lip contour tattoo the appearance of a cleft lip can be greatly improved. The lip can be drawn in to regain symmetry and colour while the scar camouflage will minimise the appearance of any additional scarring in the area. This treatment is very effective and can really go a long way in restoring confidence.
